Morning Cleaning Routine

In this video, I show you my full daily cleaning routine.  Developing daily morning and evening cleaning routines was one of the best things I ever did.  I started doing these routines about three years ago, and now they are so ingrained into my day that I don't even think of them as chores.

Following basic cleaning routines means that our home never builds up mess or dirt.  These simple steps help me stay on top of things, because believe me, with two ridiculously heavy shedding Alaskan Malamutes, and a cat, in the house, I cannot afford to miss a day!  As I clean the house on a daily basis, it does not take me very long, which gives me more time to focus on work and other activities.

As well as my morning and evening cleaning routines, I also do at least one detailed cleaning task a day - these are tasks that do not get covered in my routines, e.g. cleaning out the fridge, cleaning the light fixtures, etc.  Following these routines means I never have to fear guests turning up unexpectedly, and gone are the days of spending hours panic cleaning before visitors were due to arrive!

When I told Tim I was thinking of filming this video, he dared me to wear my wedding dress while cleaning... so I did! One day soon I will film my night time cleaning routine too.

I hope you enjoy the video, and  if you haven't already, perhaps it will inspire you to develop some simple cleaning routines of your own.
